MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A restaurant group with locations in the Milwaukee area is reopening its businesses for take-home options on Friday, May 15.

The Lowlands Group is reopening Cafe Benelux, Cafe Hollander and Cafe Centraal locations at 4 p.m.

“We’re excited to be back and we’re going to be doing this as safely as we possibly can," Lowlands Group CEO Eric Wagner said.

The restaurants have been closed since mid-March. Each restaurant has new special options on the menus for take-out food and drinks.

"We developed kind of new products and even existing products we converted to be family style, so you can get one, two or four servings of a bunch of our items," he said. "We have fried chicken-leg baskets, we've got Amsterdam snacks at the Hollanders, we developed special drink packages for all the restaurants."

When customers come to pick up their orders, they'll notice social distancing measures in place.

"Each one of the restaurants is set up with a to-go window, everything is kind of one way in and one way out," Wagner said. "We also have the option of curbside, so when you get to the restaurant, you can text or call us and will bring the food out."

Orders can be made online or over the phone.
