UNION GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The man accused of crashing into a man snow-blowing in Union Grove and leaving the scene is a school administrator.
Forty-three-year-old James McKnight, of Union Grove, is the dean of students at a high school in Zion, Illinois.
Wednesday he was charged with hit and run and now faces up to nine months in prison and a $10-thousand fine.
McKnight is accused of crashing into 27-year-old Nathaniel Dentici who was snow-blowing his driveway on Friday.
Mcknight did not stop.
Tuesday, McKnight turned himself into police.
According to the criminal complaint, he told police visibility was bad, he heard a "thump", and thought he hit an animal.
Dentici had to get stitches in his head and his wife said he is on crutches.
At his first court appearance, McKnight’s bond was set at $3-thousand cash and he was ordered not to drive.
His preliminary hearing was scheduled for Jan. 30.
