Man sentenced to 25 years in prison for Dousman House machete attack

DOUSMAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The man at the center of a violent attempted robbery will spend the next 25 years in prison.

Monday afternoon, 53-year-old Daniel Vasquez was found guilty on one count of attempted homicide and one count of OWI.

According to court documents, back in May 2024, Vasquez walked into Dousman House tavern wearing a Halloween mask and carrying a machete. 

After demanding money and attacking one victim, Vasquez later crashed his car while trying to get away from the scene. 

He was later arrested and charged. 

He'll be on supervised release for 15 years after his prison sentence.
