Man seriously hurt in Brady Street hit-and-run out of ICU, driver still at large
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- While still recovering in the hospital, CBS 58 spoke with Quincy, a 41-year-old man who was hurt by a hit-and-run driver Memorial Day weekend on Milwaukee's popular Brady Street. While he's getting better, and can finally talk again, police are still looking for who did this to him.
Multiple hematomata, a busted open head, all of his ribs, both legs and a foot broken. That's how Quincy's mom -- who preferred not to give her name -- described the condition of her son after a silver 2011 to 2017 Jeep Patriot hit him while he was out on Brady Street early Monday, May 29.
Now, Quincy is finally out of the ICU.
"Thank God that I still have my son here with me and it's nothing short of a miracle because he was in very bad shape," said Quincy's mom.
Quincy himself says it all happened so fast.
"I was walking across the street, I looked both ways, and all of a sudden you know, this car full of girls they came speeding through," said Quincy.

As he recovers, his family says they're thankful for all the support.
"I wanted to thank each and every person who took the time to pray, who took the time to support us on behalf of Quincy," said Quincy's mom.
Quincy himself says despite everything, he feels good.
"[It feels good] that I've got so many friends that care about me," said Quincy.
Quincy's mom says it's still a long road ahead as he'll need to learn how to eat and walk again. She says despite the difficulty ahead, she's optimistic, and is still hoping they find who the driver was so they can be brought to justice.
"I pray and I really hope whoever knows something, because there's too many people out there not to know anything, that they would come forward," said Quincy's mom.
Quincy says when all is said and done, the real question is why people feel the need to drive so recklessly.
Police are still looking for the silver Jeep Patriot and the driver, they say the SUV's front end is likely damaged.
Anyone with any information about what happened to Quincy is asked to call Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7360, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (414)224-TIPS or P3 Tips.
