BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man shot by a former police officer is planning to sue the city of Brown Deer and the police department.
An attorney on behalf of Manuel Burnley Jr. has filed a notice of claim. Earlier in 2018, former police officer Devon Kraemer was put on trial for shooting Burnley during an arrest. The jury could not reach a verdict and declared a mistrial.
Kraemer resigned from the department on July 9.
