WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Usually Hollwood or New York City get the red movie carpet premieres. But not today. Marcus Majestic Cinema in Waukesha is hosting a VIP event, and it is one that should appeal to Green Bay Packer fans.
The movie is called "Green and Gold" it is in partnership with the Green Bay Packers. Some of the stars of the film will be there tonight.
Craig T. Nelson stars as a struggling Wisconsin dairy farmer, who makes a bet on the Green Bay Packers to save his family farm. Madison Lawlor is the granddaughter who works on the farm, but dreams of a career in music. There is a local celebrity with a role, Charlie Berens, who plays a radio announcer.
"I'd say it's between a cameo and a starting role. Here's a starting role and here's a cameo," said Berens.
"Are you eligible for best supporting actor when the Oscars come around?" CBS 58 Bill Walsh asked.
"I'll be eligible for best beer drinker on screen," said Berens.
Looks like anyone who lives in Wisconsin, or loves the Packers, could have a reason to watch it. Green and Gold is in theaters on Jan. 31.
