MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Marquette men's basketball team served up meals for those in the Adult Rehabilitation Center at the Milwaukee Salvation Army.
"We are grateful for what we have and we're trying to give back to the people who don't have as much," said basketball player Omax Prosper.
About 18 players and their coaches took time out from the holiday to feed about 100 to 150 mouths.
For Captain Steve Stanert, the administrator for the Rehabilitation center, said the team's presence leaves a big impact.
"So many of our men right now don't have access to their families for one reason or another and to have this substitute family is very very encouraging," said Cpt. Stanert.
This is the second year the Milwaukee Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center and Marquette's basketball team celebrated Thanksgiving by giving back.
