SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver is getting some recognition after helping a bus rider who fell in the middle of the road.
MCTS says its driver, Sandra Lachenschmidt, rushed to help a woman who had just gotten off her bus and tumbled to the ground while crossing the street.
Lachenscmidt helped the woman up, picked up her cane and belongings, made sure she wasn't hurt, and helped her cross the street safely.
