Milwaukee airport unveils new art installation in partnership with MIAD
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- You may notice a new look at the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport the next time you fly.
The airport revealed an art installation in partnership with the Milwaukee Art Institute and Design (MIAD) on Thursday, June 27.
Back during the pandemic, a student created a series of letter-pressed postcards to spread messages of positivity all over the world.
Now, people all over the world will see that positivity, here in Milwaukee, with art being displayed at Mitchell.
"It feels great, I'm excited to have this project. My original project was meant to be sent all over the world, this project is great because instead of postcards going to the people, it's the people coming to the postcards. It's a great iteration of the project," said Liz Geoffrey, artist.
She originally made one thousand postcards, which were all gone in just a few weeks.
Now, everyone can enjoy them when they head to the airport.
