MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Department of Public Works has canceled sanitation services on Tuesday, Jan. 21 due to dangerously low temperatures and wind chills.
Crews were initially on standby earlier in the morning, but a later update announced that all services were called off to prioritize staff safety.
The department stated that workers will make efforts to complete all scheduled collections by the end of the week, with Saturday designated as a catch-up day if necessary.
