MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Parks has 13 different golf courses throughout the county for various ages and skill levels. Last year, the parks department had a record number of visitors bringing in $300 million in revenue for the parks.

"Since Covid we've seen a huge boom in golf rounds and revenue," said Joe Mrozinski, the assistant director of business services for Milwaukee County Parks. "We're the trifecta. We have great value; we have fantastic locations and high quality, all three."

The official tee off to open all 13 parks will happen Friday afternoon, April 18. Many of the parks have already been open throughout March, and the Milwaukee Co. Parks Department says they've already had golfers play 14 thousand rounds over the last month.

Many of the golf courses have had improvements made to the fairway and the pro shop. Dretzka Golf Course's pro shop has doubled in size. Upgrades have also been made to the driving paths, parking lots and putting greens.

You can make a reservation for one of the golf courses ahead of time here.
