Milwaukee man charged after stabbing victim with key at Oak Creek movie theater
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man is now charged in a stabbing at Oak Creek's Marcus South Shore Cinema Nov. 1.
Syafiq Mohamed-Hussin, 22, is charged with first-degree reckless injury, use of a dangerous weapon.
Police responded to the theater around 10:15 p.m. for reports of a large fight and found a victim laying on the ground, injured.
According to a criminal complaint, the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was diagnosed with two punctured lungs from multiple apparent stab wounds.
The complaint says video from the theater captured the incident and shows a man, later identified as Mohamed-Hussin, approaching the victim when the victim was tackled to the ground by one of Mohamed-Hussin's friends. The video reportedly shows Mohamed-Hussin making "numerous punching type motions" into the victim's body.
Police say Mohamed-Hussin later turned himself in, admitting that he had used a key to stab the victim.
The complaint says Mohamed-Hussin claimed he believed the victim was one of the men who had beaten up one of his friends in the theater, and he "wanted to make the guy hurt."
