MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee mother involved in a shooting at a West Allis roller rink back in February learned her fate in court on Monday afternoon.
Ashley Jones, 33, was sentenced to six years behind bars for two counts of first-degree reckless injury.
The shooting happened at the Incredi-Roll Skate and Family Fun Center near 108th and Oklahoma that has since shut down.
Authorities said Jones confronted a woman during a birthday party, which then led to a physical fight before she was escorted out.
Jones then drove away before returning and pulling out a gun, injuring a security guard and a teenage boy in the parking lot.
In court, Jones was emotional and apologetic, telling the judge she took responsibility for the situation.
"That night replays in my mind time and time again," Jones said. "I regret and have remorse for my actions and all the pain it has caused individuals mentally, physically, and emotionally."
Both the security guard and the father of the child said they are still dealing with trauma aftermath.
