Milwaukee Police Investigate two overnight shootings, one is Fatal

One man is dead and another is in critical condition after two late night shootings Saturday in Milwaukee.

The fatal shooting occurred in the area of 3800 N. 13th Street. Milwaukee Police were dispatched to that area at about 12:10 a.m. Sunday after receiving a shotspotter alert. 

Once police arrived at the scene, they located a male of an unknown age who had been shot several times and was unconscious and not breathing. The victim's injury was too severe to be resuscitated and he died on the scene. Milwaukee Police are still investigating the motive for the shooting.

The other shooting occurred in the area of 3000 W. Ruskin Court at about 10:00 p.m. Saturday. 

Friends and family gathered to host a celebration in this area. During the celebration, the suspect began to argue with several people at the event. At some point during the argument, the suspect armed himself with a gun and shot the victim multiple times. The victim, a 39-year-old male was treated on the scene, then transported to a local hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department. The victim is expected to survive his injuries, but he is in critical condition.
