MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Officials say it happened around 4:20 p.m. near 27th and Wisconsin Avenue. 

The 44-year-old victim sustained a fatal gunshot injury. He was identified Thursday as Ronald Smith. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation, and police continue to seek unknown suspects.
