MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The family of a young child found alone at Carver Park on Thursday has been located, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

Police had previously asked for the public's help identifying the child, who identified herself as Amina Wells and was believed to be about 3 years old.

The child was found around 6 p.m. Thursday and was confirmed to be safe and in good health.

"The Milwaukee Police Department would like to thank everyone for their assistance in this matter," police said.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The Milwaukee Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a young child found alone at Carver Park and locating her parents or guardians.

Police said the child was found around 6 p.m. Thursday and identified herself as Amina Wells.

Authorities believe she is about 3 years old.

Police confirmed the child is safe and in good health.
