MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The iconic site, known by many as Milwaukee's landmark art deco hotel, will be celebrating a big birthday on Thursday, May 4.
The Ambassador Hotel is turning 95 years young.
In current time, the location is considered a hospitality gem, offering a blend of modern amenities and 1920s Art Deco design. The original marble floors and bronze elevators are a testament of time.
The Ambassador features 132 renovated guest rooms and suites along with three thousand square feet of event space. The hotel's restaurant, The Fitz, is also reopening in conjunction with the anniversary.
To mark the big milestone on Thursday, Mayor Cavalier Johnson is even declaring the day to be "Ambassador Hotel Day."
