OSHKOSH, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Miss Wisconsin competition is preparing to commence, marking a milestone with its 60th year hosted in the city of Oshkosh.
Kylene Spanbauer, the reigning Miss Wisconsin, provided us on Tuesday, June 20 for a live preview of the event, scheduled for June 21-24.
This annual competition, set to take place at the Alberta Kimball Auditorium in Oshkosh West High School, is slated to feature 25 women vying for the coveted title of Miss Wisconsin 2023.
Spanbauer, a Fond Du Lac native, assumed her title in the wake of Grace Stanke’s ascension to Miss America last Dec., the third woman from Wisconsin to earn the honor. Spanbauer has dedicated her reign to the cause of sexual assault education, fostering empowerment and awareness through her social impact initiative, “No Means No: Sexual Assault Education.”
She has garnered over $15,000 in scholarships from her involvement in the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen organizations.
More information about the Miss Wisconsin competition, including tickets, can be found online at MissWisconsin.com. A live stream option will also be accessible for the final stages of the competition.
