Like clockwork we flip the calendar to July and the heat has been delivered! Milwaukee now has two 90 degree days in the books, one on the 2nd hitting 93° and last Friday reaching 92° as shown here:
The weekend, however, was a reprieve from the heat with high pressure providing pleasant 70s. This comfortable set up is going to be replaced once again with more heat in the coming days. Today we warm into the mid 80s. While it will be warmer than previous days, it's a seasonable set up with dew points staying in the 60s. Tomorrow it's back to the muggies, with dew points in the lower 70s. That heat and humidity will spark the chance for storms. Behind that system we don't cool back much. In fact, we brace for a hotter weekend than last. We anticipate at least a couple days reaching 90 degrees in the near future. And the extended outlook calls for more of the same. The Great Lakes region has a solid chance for above average temperatures right into the last week of the month. Looks like we've got perfect weather to hit the beaches, as we should this time of year. Enjoy!I'm meteorologist Rebecca Schuld
