More rain expected Wednesday after Tuesday's soaker

NOW: More rain expected Wednesday after Tuesday’s soaker
NEXT:

We got a whole bunch of rain in southeast Wisconsin Tuesday. The steady, soaking rain rolled in Tuesday morning and stayed with us through most of the afternoon before becoming a bit lighter and drier in the evening. Rain totals for most of southeast Wisconsin Tuesday ranged from 1-2" with northern Milwaukee and Waukesha County seeing the most with 2-2.5". Some southeast areas like Kenosha lacked a bit with three quarters an inch of rain.

The rainfall we saw in Milwaukee Tuesday of 1.11" was more than the previous two weeks combined which only saw 0.96" from May 2-19. Remember May 1st had a good soaking rain but until Tuesday and the severe storms last week we hadn't had much.

While Wednesday's rain won't be as steady or heavy as Tuesday, we likely still get scattered showers throughout the day. There may be a few dry breaks but otherwise expect the showers to continue through Wednesday.

Rain totals for Wednesday are expected to add an additional half inch of rain in most areas with some seeing a bit more and others a bit less.
