WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Waukesha police are investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist dead Wednesday night, Aug. 19. 

First responders arrived at the scene on N. Grandview Boulevard just after 7 p.m.

According to a preliminary investigation, a three-wheeled trike was traveling southbound on Grandview Boulevard when it crossed the median, struck a traffic sign, and overturned. Police say at this time, investigators do not believe any other vehicles were involved. 

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
