MPD: 2 injured in separate shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two shootings that occurred Wednesday night, Sept.1 into early Thursday morning, Sept. 2.

The first shooting took place around 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, near 38th and Wright St.

A 42-year-old Milwaukee man sustained non-fatal injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation and police are looking for unknown suspects. 

Milwaukee police are also investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at approximately 1:35 a.m., near 2nd St. and Center St. The victim, a 18-year-old Milwaukee man, sustained non-fatal injuries. He arrived at a local hospital for treatment. Police continue to seek unknown suspects.
