MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department invites the community to join them on their third annual Ciclovía. Roads will be closed for what will become a community bike ride with music, food, face-painting, a low-rider car show, and a bike raffle!
It will start at MPD's District Two located at 245 W. Lincoln Ave., and the event will go from 3 to 7 PM.
Officer Roberto Sanchez joined us on CBS58 Saturday Morning's newscast to talk about the event and its record-breaking attendance each year. He says it's a great way for the community to meet the officers, and vice-versa, forming connections that go beyond their work.
While there is some extreme heat in Southeast Wisconsin this weekend, Officer Sanchez says there will be plenty of water, and hopes there will still be a safe and fun time had!
