National Weather Service offering 18 storm spotter classes across southeast Wisconsin

Have you ever wanted to become a Skywarn Storm Spotter? Well you’re in luck because we’re only a little more than a week away from the first storm spotter class of the year!  Meteorologists from the National Weather Service in Milwaukee will be hosting 18 storm spotter classes across our viewing area over the next two months. The two hour long classes are free and open to the public; however you must pre-register at a few denoted locations.

Dates, locations, and times include:

  • Menomonee Falls – Monday, March 16th at 6:30 p.m. in the Menomonee Falls High School Auditorium
  • Jefferson – Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fair Park Activity Center (Pre-register by emailing [email protected] or calling 920-674-8674)
  • Grafton – Wednesday, March 18th at 6:30 p.m. in the Second Floor Training Room at the Grafton Fire Department
  • Sturtevant – Monday, March 30th at 6 p.m. at the SC Johnson iMET Center (Pre-registration Required: Sign up at https://2020severeweatherseminar.eventbrite.com/)
  • Plymouth – Tuesday, March 31st at 6 p.m. at the Sheboygan County Highway Department
  • UW-Whitewater – Wednesday, April 1st at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the UW-Whitewater Community Engagement Center
  • Kenosha – Wednesday, April 8th at 6:30 p.m. at Gateway Technical College – Kenosha Campus Room T127 (Pre-register by emailing Kenosha County Emergency Management at [email protected])
  • Campbellsport – Monday, April 20th at 6:30 p.m. at the Campbellsport Fire Department
  • Elkhorn – Tuesday, April 21st at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Matheson Memorial Library
  • Kewaskum – Wednesday, April 22nd at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Kewaskum Fire Department
  • Oak Creek – Monday, May 4th at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Creek Police Department in the Municipal Court Room
  • Juneau – Wednesday, May 6th at 6:30 p.m. in the First Floor auditorium at the Dodge County Administration Building
  • Darien – Thursday, May 7th at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Darien Fire Department
