SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An NBA Hall of Famer makes a stop in Sheboygan!
Two weeks ago, Charles Barkley had a night out at the bar Nine-O-Two on the Avenue. The owner and employees said while Barkley was there, he took pictures with people, gave autographs and even opened a bar tab for customers at the bar.
"After he started coming in, it got real busy," said Breanna Meyer, bartender. "I stayed super busy all night. I continuously had people coming in to see if they could get a sight of him at all."
"He was very gracious, he was very kind, smiled a lot, just really friendly," said Wendy Vera, owner of Nine-O-Two on the Avenue. "Everything everybody would probably expect him to be, absolutely. Great superstar."
The bar owner says the word on why Barkley was in town was to get a few rounds of golf in at Whistling Straits. She says after he had dinner at another place, he somehow found her bar.
