The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has named five teachers of the year for the upcoming school year.
One of them is from our area.
Tara Fedenia is a speech and language pathologist at Poplar Creek Elementary School in New Berlin.
She found out about the award last month and immediately celebrated with her colleagues.
She joins us virtually this morning to talk about her big win and what it takes to be a great teacher.
