O&H Danish Bakery prepares for Fat Tuesday with King Cake Kringle and Paczki

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- O&H Danish Bakery is offering pre-orders for its King Cake Kringle and Paczki in preparation for Fat Tuesday celebrations.

The limited-time treats are available for in-store pickup, with King Cake Kringle pre-orders running through Wednesday, March 5, and Paczki pre-orders available exclusively for pickup on Tuesday, March 4.

Peter Olesen, president and fourth-generation co-owner of O&H Danish Bakery, joined us to talk about the bakery’s special items on Monday, March 3.

The King Cake Kringle, inspired by the traditional Mardi Gras dessert, features a 36-layer pastry filled with cream cheese, topped with icing and decorated in Mardi Gras colors. Each Kringle includes a plastic baby, continuing the tradition associated with King Cakes.

O&H is also introducing a Dulce De Leche Paczki this year, featuring a caramel custard filling with caramel icing, toffee bits and chocolate chunks. Other flavors include Door County Cherry, Bavarian Cream and Crisp Apple.
