Oak Creek police investigating multiple break-ins, suspect escaped

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) --- The Oak Creek Police Department said they responded to a residential neighborhood Friday, April 9 to investigate a report of a robbery.
Police say they responded at 4:02 p.m. near 20th and Drexel.
As officers were investigating the robbery, police say a burglary was discovered at a nearby residence.
The suspect of the robbery fled the area in a stolen vehicle before police arrived.
"These are isolated incident s with no immediate threat to the area," the Oak Creek Police Department said in a statement. "We are currently investigating these incidents."
Police say they have a person of interest identified.

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Oak Creek police shut down a neighborhood for several hours Friday, April 9, as they responded to multiple break-ins.
Police were first called around 4:30 p.m.
They have confirmed that at least two homes were broken into and the suspect was able to run away through a wooded area behind homes.
Officers were still investigating as of 9:30 p.m. Friday night and have released very little officially.
When CBS 58 arrived on scene, our cameras caught police clearing a home in the area. We saw a police K9 searching the backyard first.
The search lasted close to half an hour.
Multiple neighbors tell CBS 58 some type of confrontation occurred between the suspect and a neighbor.
Oak Creek police say they're still trying to piece together all that has happened.
