OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) --- An Oconomowoc bank robbery suspect is in custody after a two-day manhunt.

Police arrested 44-year-old Kaia Mueller Wednesday night in Lake Delton.

It started Tuesday in the 200 block of 2nd St. in Oconomowoc, police got reports of an armed robbery. Then about a block away a vehicle was stolen. Shortly after, a bank robbery was reported in Waukesha State Bank.

The suspect got away, sparking a manhunt and sending residents in to lockdown.

"It was scary so everyone came in and shut all the blinds, lock all the doors, tripe locked them," said Mary Tylicki who lives nearby.

Then on Wednesday, police say Mueller was involved in a hit and run. Eventually they tracked him down in Lake Delton where he was arrested.

Mueller is already a convicted bank robber. In 2015 he was charged with robbery of a financial institution. He plead guilty and was sent to prison. Online records show he got out in 2017 but is still on supervised release.

Mueller has no been charged in Waukesha county yet.

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Oconomowoc police report a bank robbery suspect was arrested without incident in Lake Delton. 

Police identified the suspect at Kaia Mueller. 

On Tuesday, June 29, authorities say Mueller held up the Waukesha State Bank with employees and customers inside. 

No one was hurt during the incident. 

Oconomowoc police are still investigating the incident.
