OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A hometown wildlife center is celebrating 30 years of rehabilitating Wisconsin animals.
The Wildlife In Need Center in Oconomowoc has taken in injured and orphaned wildlife for three decades.
The nonprofit rehabilitates the animals and releases them back into the wild.
They help opossums, turtles, raptors and more.
This Saturday, July 27, they are celebrating their birthday with a family fun event that will give the community a behind-the-scenes look at their facility.
"We will have some of our educational ambassadors out on display. We're going to have children's games, face painting, we're going to have the authors of our books here doing a book signing, 'Connecting with Wisconsin Wildlife,'" said Kim Banach, executive director of the Wildlife In Need Center.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their center.
Tickets will need to be purchased ahead of time. For more information, click here.
