Updated: Saturday, July 13th 5:50pm:

Clusters of strong to severe storms have been producing wind damage and large hail across central Wisconsin for the last few hours. They are tracking southeast towards our area, but likely won't reach Fond du Lac or Dodge counties until after 7pm.

We are watching for the potential for another line of storms very late tonight - well after midnight. These storms are just now developing in northern Minnesota.

Additional severe storms are possible Sunday afternoon. A Heat Advisory is also in effect for Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties from 2pm-7pm Sunday for heat indices around 100° for several hours.

Updated: Saturday, July 13th 3:45pm:
Hot and humid conditions have the atmosphere primed for strong to severe storms in southern WI later today into tonight. We've had a couple pop up showers this afternoon, but we're keeping a close eye on the clusters of storms to our northwest, especially the severe cluster north of La Crosse that's tracking southeast.

These storms will continue to be strong to severe as they track SE towards our area. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Dodge and Fond du Lac counties until 10pm. Additional counties may be added to the watch as the day progresses.

Additional strong to severe storms will be possible overnight, but that line of storms isn't expected to develop until later this evening in northern Minnesota.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--The start of the Republican National Convention will have a rather tropical feel weatherwise on Monday.  Look for highs in the 90s to begin the week with rounds of showers and storms, starting as early as Saturday afternoon.  Some of the storms could be strong to severe through much of Monday as well. It's only after a cold front moves through early Tuesday we start to get some major relief.  But in the meantime, the humidity will make it feel like 95 to 100 degrees, especially Sunday and Monday.  But we can look forward to highs in the 70s starting on Wednesday, and they'll be around for second part of the upcoming week.
