Oshkosh police officers dragged by car during traffic stop

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - Two Oshkosh Police officers were making a routine traffic stop on Doty Street, near 17th Avenue, at about 3:37 Thursday when a 26-year-old woman, who gave a false name, tried to drive away.

She dragged the officers with her car, while one officer was able to get away, the driver accelerated towards him, hitting him with her car.

The driver hit a home and a front porch, exited the vehicle and ran away.

She was eventually found and taken into custody. She is facing charges of recklessly endangering safety, kidnapping and battery to law enforcement officers.

The officers were not seriously hurt. Doty Street was temporarily closed during the investigation.
