Packers hold joint practice with Baltimore Ravens ahead of final preseason game
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers only have one preseason game left, this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens.
Ahead of Saturday's finale, the two squads held a joint practice in Green Bay.
This is the Packers' second joint practice of the preseason after doing the same with the Denver Broncos last week. That practice did not go well. All reports from camp Thursday say this one featured a little more success.
The Ravens even got in on the Packers' famous tradition of riding bikes over to practice, including reigning MVP Lamar Jackson.
Once on the field, both the Packers offense and defense had their moments, as did the Ravens.
Before practice, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked if the starters, like Jordan Love, would see the field on Saturday. He only responded, "we'll see."
Jordan Love feels ready for the regular season, but even he added, "we'll see" about playing Saturday. But he liked the bounce back effort of his squad against another talented team.
"As a defense, they're obviously one of the best in the league," Love said. "They do a lot of different things, have a lot of different personnels, have a lot of pressures. They did a couple of pressures we weren't ready for and it's one of those things you go back to the sideline and see what they're doing and make those adjustments. Just trying to learn on the fly, kinda, the flavor of the day for what some of those pressures were. They do a really good job. They're a really good defense."
