Packers will kick off 2024 season against Eagles in Brazil

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers will open the 2024 with a trip to Brazil. They will play the Philadelphia Eagles Friday, September 6 in São Paulo, Brazil. It will be the NFL’s first regular season game ever in South America.

Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy said in the team’s release “We're looking forward to being a part of this historic matchup against the Eagles in São Paulo,"

"We're excited to play in front of our devoted fans in Brazil and help build upon the international popularity of the NFL and the Packers. We had a great experience playing internationally for the first time a couple of years ago and we're proud to be part of the league's continued global growth."

This will be the Packers second regular season international game following their 2022 trip to London. Unlike 2022, the Packers are the “road” team for this game so there will be nine regular season games at Lambeau Field this season.
