Pandemic-born food truck in Menomonee Falls proves to be an egg-celent idea
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Rise & Shine Food Bus started in the height of the pandemic, May 2021, but it's proved to be an egg-celent payoff for one Menomonee Falls family.
Tony Resch and his son Mason Resch were looking for a way to spend more time together, and outside of their home, during the pandemic. That, coupled with their love for cooking, led them to open their own food truck.
"It was kind of a Covid baby and just rolling with it," said Mason. "And honestly, [we] couldn't be happier about it."
They call it Rise and Shine Food Bus because of its larger than average size. Now, just two years later, the father-son duo is seeing their success. But it's the quality of life that's proved to be the best part.
"The ability to work with my dad, we get to laugh a lot, share some fun times and honestly that's my favorite part," said Mason.
The name Rise & Shine is about more than the breakfast food they serve. It's about their passion to fuel bodies and souls.
"We want to help people rise and feel great, with a good meal, a smile and great service," said Tony Resch. "We want to help them shine throughout the day and be at their best -- around people they work with around people they coach, whatever the deal happens to be. And hopefully that will propel the world to be a better place one guest at a time so that's why we chose Rise & Shine."
You'll find Rise & Shine out year-round at events all around SE Wisconsin, especially Menomonee Falls and West Bend. You can check their Facebook page to see where they are next.
