'Like a bridge over troubled water': Paul Simon to perform 2 shows in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Paul Simon will bring his A Quiet Celebration Tour to the Riverside Theater for two performances on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 at 8 p.m. The tour will feature the live debut of his Grammy-nominated album "Seven Psalms" along with a selection of his classic songs.
Simon announced the tour as a way to adapt his performances to hearing loss, which he developed in recent years. He will perform in smaller venues with acoustics optimized for his condition.
To accommodate his hearing loss, Simon and his production team redesigned the stage setup, placing monitors around him to create an optimal sound environment. He worked with the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss to develop a system that allows the performances to be possible.
The tour begins April 4 in New Orleans and runs through August, with stops across North America. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. More information can be found by clicking here.
