DELAFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A person and a pet turtle was rescued early Saturday morning, Feb. 21, in the City of Delafield. 

Lake Country Fire and Rescue crews responded to a residential fire before 4 a.m. at a single-family home along S. Lapham Peak Rd. 

Fire crews found that some of the occupants evacuated from the home. During a primary search on the second floor, they found one person in a bedroom and was brought to safety. 

Firefighters were able to control the fire around 4:25 a.m. 

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and firefighters also reunited the family with their pet turtle named Franklin, which was found in the home. 

The fire is under investigation.
