Platteville officer adopts kitten after rescuing it from the snow

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Platteville police officer has a new family member after rescuing a kitten from a snowy ditch.

The department said while checking out the Super Blood Wolf Moon Sunday night, Officer Froiseth heard a kitten meowing.

The kitten was found stuck in a ditch that had drifted over with about three feet of snow.

The officer brought the kitten back to his warm squad car where it curled up next to him.

Officer Froiseth had planned to put the kitten up for adoption but after the kitten wouldn't leave his side, the officer decided to keep it.
