MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A driver fleeing police was seriously hurt after crashing into a home in Wauwatosa Tuesday, Jan. 21. 

Authorities say around 8:35 p.m., West Allis police officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Milwaukee. The driver did not stop and fled, and a pursuit ensued into Wauwatosa. 

The chase ended with the fleeing driver crashed into a residence near 74th and Lloyd. 

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

Nobody inside the home was hurt. 

The driver is in custody for fleeing an officer, operating without owner's consent and a warrant.
