Not just beer: Bill would legalize wine, liquor sales in Wisconsin parks

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- If you're a fan of those beer gardens in Milwaukee County Parks in the summertime, you'll be interested in a new bill that's backed by two hometown lawmakers.

The bill would allow cities and counties to sell wine and liquor without a liquor license in its public parks.

Right now, state law only allows the unlicensed sale of beer.

State Rep. Ryan Clancy and State Sen. Chris Larson argue that at a time when communities are asked to come up with creative ways to raise money, expanding legal alcohol sales "only makes sense."

Larson and Clancy are looking for co-sponsors for their bill.
