'Purls and Pints' brings knitters together each Monday at County Clare Irish Pub

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- I'll be honest: I had to look up what a "purl" is. It's the opposite of a "knit" stitch, creating a wavy pattern in the material.

Whatever it is, it's the perfect use of a word to complete a creative title called "Purls and Pints." This is the name of a knitting group meeting most Monday evenings at County Clare Irish Pub on Milwaukee's east side.

The event runs between 6 and 8 p.m. and is a perfect way for knitters to gather, socialize and create something special to them. Of course, anyone is welcome, no matter how good a knitter you are. Just make sure to bring your own materials.
