WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The West Allis Fire Department is investigating a garbage fire turned house fire that happened earlier today, Aug. 30. 

The on-duty captain of the West Allis Fire Department states they were dispatched to the area of 56th and W. Burnham St. around 1:30 p.m. for a garage fire that extended to the house. 

He states they were able to get the fire under control within minutes of arriving. The burning was mainly coming from the back side of the house. 

Two residents have been displaced but no injuries have been reported. 

The West Allis Fire Department are still investigating the cause of the fire and doing a damage estimate.
