MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- There's a push to rename 'Columbus Park' to 'Indigenous Peoples' Park.'
Columbus Park is located near 76th and Hampton on Milwaukee's northwest side.
County Supervisor Felesia Martin brought up the proposal. She says it would acknowledge indigenous peoples' contributions to the area.
The resolution passed a county board committee in January.
It now goes to the full county board for approval.
