RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Prepare your taste buds for a journey through Downtown Racine as we proudly present the inaugural “Soup & Steins” event taking place throughout the heart of Racine. 

Cari Greving is the Executive Director of Visit Racine County and joined us in studio to discuss Soups and Steins and much more in our Community Calendar. 

This festival invites locals and visitors alike to indulge in an epic exploration of 20 different soups and 20 craft beer samples on Saturday, March 29 at 20 different walkable locations in historic & hip Downtown Racine.

Event Highlights:
• Soup Sampling: Enjoy a variety of 20 delectable soup stops featuring Lambeau Stew, Caribbean Black Bean, Chicken Dumpling, French Onion, Cream of Asparagus, Corn Chowder and Beer Cheese.
•Craft Beer Tasting: Quench your thirst with 20 different 3 oz beer sampling stops: there’s something to satisfy every palate.
• Includes a 12 oz commemorative glass stein mug
• A ticket for one full 12oz pour of any beer you like on the tour
This event is designed for you to explore at your own pace and in any order you prefer, ensuring a personalized and unforgettable experience.
Remember, parking is conveniently available at the Lake Avenue Ramp (300 Lake Avenue), Civic Centre Ramp (501 Lake Avenue), and the McMynn Ramp (120 7th Street) or Shoop (Main & State) for an all-day rate of only $3.50. Join us for an unforgettable evening of food, fun, and community spirit.
*Once tickets are purchased, please come to the Downtown Racine Corp office from March 24 until the day of the event to pick up your entry wristband, and map of locations. The office is open Mon-Fri 8am-4pm and Sat-Sun noon-4pm. We strongly suggest picking these items up PRIOR to the event to avoid crowds. And YES, you are able to pick up the bags for everyone in your group.

Paper and Thread Embroidery Workshop. 

Embellish images, book pages or your own artwork with some basic stitches. The result is a unique and beautiful creation. Teenagers, age 14 and older, may take most adult classes; some require teacher’s consent.

Call us old fashioned, but we can’t help but love Wisconsin’s classic cocktail! Step in from the cold and warm up by sampling a variety of unique old-fashioned drinks, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, meet an ambassador animal, and more! Bring your friends or your date for this fun night at the Zoo.

Kids Hand building with Clay, ages 4-7 from March 22 - April 12

Have fun sculpting and learning all the basic techniques of working with clay.
