Racine & Me: Community Calendar Mother's Day Silk Scarf Painting Workshop

 

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Cari Greving from Visit Racine County joined us in studio to talk about a fun experience you can do with your mom this Mother's Day! 

Bring mom or your special someone to create together. Learn basic dye application techniques including resist, salt application, and tie-dye. Create two or three wearable art pieces using this centuries-old painting form. These make wonderful, personalized gifts, perfect for Mother’s Day! All supplies included in the registration fee. Bring a lunch!

Online registration closes three business days before class begins. You may also call 262-636-9177 to check for class availability, and to register, Mondays through Saturdays, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Class is held at RAM’s Wustum Museum, 2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine.

Racine Heritage Museum's Heritage Walking Tour is a 1.1 mile, 1.5-2 hour walking tour in beautiful downtown Racine on the Lake Michigan lakefront. It covers several periods of Wisconsin's rich and storied abolitionist, industrial, architectural, and immigrant history. The passionate volunteer tour guides are well-informed Racine locals who dedicate their summertime Saturdays to sharing the stories of their home. Tours will not take place on May 25, Jun 29, Aug 31 or Sep 21.
