RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- The members of Rust Belt joined Racine & Me this week. Paul Aceto, Don Miller, Kevin Schultz and Brandon Shilts say they formed the group in Kenosha in 2016.
The group is formed of members of well-known bands such as Cosmic Railroad, Boney Fingers, and Acoustic Soul, the band has more than 175 years performing experience combined!
Taking their lyrics straight from the Midwest life (The Rust Belt)-- their music comes from a passion to perform. Opening for such acts as Vanilla Fudge and Cowboy Mouth and playing our original music from the start. They feature Brandon Shilts on guitar and vocals. He is a teacher of music and is well-rounded in the way his songs come together to tell stories. Paul Aceto, bassist, has been touring for the better part of 30 years all over the country playing all styles of music. Don Miller, a local Kenosha business owner (Kenosha Fusion) has been a drummer, guitar player, and lead singer for many years and is the steady rock keeping Rust Belt in time, all the time.
Kevin Schultz, Hammond Organ, has been a keyboard player for many years within the local scenes. His performance work and talent as both an organ player and a keyboard player have had him playing since the 1980’s. Upcoming shows are being still being booked.
