RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Big City BBQ has been catering events for three years now. Last month, Jose Perez made the leap to becoming a food truck.

"Big City BBQ is just my interpretation of what I think BBQ is," said Perez. "We try to take it from all the regions-- from Texas, Carolina, Kansas City and we just kind of combined it to what our liking is. I like street food."

This year for Thanksgiving, Perez is taking pre-orders. While cutoff for turkey has passed, there's still time to get your sides like stuffing, cornbread dressing and mac and cheese. Plus, try out something a little non-traditional, like brisket, pulled pork or chicken.

"We have Thanksgiving and also for Christmas, any special occasion you have coming up," said Perez.

Perez's Mexican heritage and his love for BBQ led him to his own unique food style.

"We can also represent real barbecue and also incorporate my heritage into it," said Perez. "We turn it into something like a taco or a torta right here or an elote."

You can reach out to Big City BBQ on Facebook for holiday orders or catering. You can also walk up to order this Saturday, Nov. 25th at 1 of Us Brewing Co.
