MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 14-year-old was seriously injured after being shot while inside a car near 12th and Greenfield. 

It happened just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7. 

According to Milwaukee police, occupants of two vehicles exchanged gunfire, subsequently striking the victim that was in one of the cars.

The victim's vehicle then collided with a parked truck and a tree near 12th and Lapham. 

"When I came out, I just saw the car over in the street and I saw my pickup truck damaged. Then I saw two guys, like 14 or 15 years old, and one of them was very - he got shot," said Daniel Estenfano, owner of the truck that was hit. 

Ring camera footage obtained by CBS 58 showed a white Sedan slam into a small tree, then hit a parked black pickup truck. From the back window of the white Sedan, a boy can be seen climbing out and try to help the driver of the Sedan after realizing the driver can't get out. 

Neighborhood resident Issac Zacaula told CBS 58 that the crash happened in his front yard.

"We've had so many accidents on this block, its been years, but today I - we were in shock when we saw it," said Zacaula.

The 14-year-old victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

Police are seeking unknown suspects.
