RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A plea for help as a Racine grandmother has been missing for nearly seven weeks.
Racine police detailed what investigators have done in these last seven weeks, searching waterways, wooded areas and abandoned buildings on foot and by drone -- and they have yet to find out what happened to a woman they say kept in contact with her family almost daily.
Lasheky Hill is 46 years old, a mother and grandmother. She was last seen the day before her birthday in the 1300 block of Douglas Avenue.
Family members tell us she was excited about her birthday, planned to get dressed up and spend part of the day with her son and grandchildren.
Where she spent her birthday is a mystery, and police say anything, even what might seem like a small tip, can help.
"Any little piece of information that you think is insignificant that might tie to something else that we're actually working on, that may either solidify that or tell us not to look in that direction," said Racine Police Chief Maurice Robinson. "That's why all these small pieces of information are important."
There will be a reward in the case. Donations can be added to Educators Credit Union for the Lasheky Hill Reward Fund.
There's also a picnic this weekend, Saturday, May 13, at 1031 Marthin Luther King Drive, where donations can also be made.
