Racine Zoo looking for space to home Chinese lanterns from festival

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Zoo is looking for a space to house Chinese lanterns from their popular festival that runs through Dec. 31.

The zoo says they're looking for a 4,000 square-foot warehouse perhaps donated or at least low rent.

Racine Zoo's Lantern Festival includes about 300 pieces of art, with 25 different elements greeting visitors at the main zoo entrance, and displays continuing through the zoo to the south end of the grounds.

Anyone who may have a warehouse or idea where to store these lights, you're asked to contact the Racine Zoo's Chelsea Locke at [email protected]

The festival runs through Dec. 31. It will be closed on Dec.16, 23, 24, 25.
